Oily Water Separation
Before and after water samples.
Fats, oils and greases (FOG) can pose major challenges to effective sewer management if they enter the wastewater treatment system. Where the water and/or FOG is to be recovered, effective separation is required.
Applications which typically require oil - water separation include:

  • Restaurants and food/meat processors.

  • Vehicle wash water

  • Containment ponds

  • Oil refineries, petrochemical plants, chemical plants, natural gas processing plants and other industrial sources.

  • Ships, where oily water separators are used to separate oil from the bilge water, as required by the international MARPOL Convention.

  • Electrical substations, where oily water separators can provide quicker and easier cleanup of an oil leak from transformers.

  • Oil - water separation is one of our main service offerings. We can provide systems to separate any combination of fats, oils, grease and solids from water to any degree of separation.

    We can provide:

  • Grease traps

  • API gravimetric oil-water separators

  • Coalescers

  • Hydrocyclones

  • Skimmers

  • and associated equipment in both packaged and custom-engineered solutions.
